From “I can’t” to “I can”

From “I can’t” to “I can”

Is there something you want to do or you need to do, but you feel you just can’t do?

It’s maybe because you’ve tried and failed? Or maybe because it feels very difficult?

Well today I want to offer you some motivation and inspiration, some words that will help you to shift from “I can’t do this” to “I CAN do it!”.

These words are from a youtube video I came across this week when I was looking for some inspiration to face something that I needed to face but felt I just can’t do it. I felt I could not do it because I failed at it before and it was still hurting! This youtube video is by Brad Yates, whos tapping videos I really like and I’ve used them numerous times before. But this particular one I’ve seen for the first time. The words Brad Yates spoke in this video really resonated with me. (After watching it I did go and do what I needed to do. And I’ve finally succeeded!)

Here are these words. Read them, say them out loud! And you too can shift from “I can’t” to “I can!”.

There is something that I wish I can do
Something that would really benefit me
But I don’t think I can do it
And I am not gonna try until I am sure I can do it
But I won’t be sure I can do it until I do DO IT
And so I am stuck
I don’t want to give up on myself
But sometimes I do and sometimes I have
And I am letting go of that
Clearing all the past pain of all the times I’ve given up on myself
Clearing all the past pain of all the times I’ve tried and failed
Because part of me knows
There is no such thing as failure, there is only feedback
And past performance is not proof of what’s possible
Because there are so many things that I do today
That I couldn’t do at some point in the past
In fact most of what I do these days
I was not able to do at some point
But I learned to do them
I have great capabilities within me
I don’t yet know what I can’t do
I only know what I have not been able to do so far
And sometimes I could not do it
Simply because I was unwilling to
And I am removing those blocks
I am removing those fears
All that fear that I can’t do it
All that fears of trying and failing
It is worth the risk!
I am clearing all those blocks and all that self-doubt
Deep inside I know
that I am capable of far more than I know
Chances are I’ve barely scratched the surface of what I can do
Sometimes I see other people doing things that I wish I can do
And I say: “Hmm, that’s no me.
They’ve got something I have not got”
Maybe all they’ve got that I have not got
Was the willingness to give it a try
I am capable of far more than I know
And I choose to find out how far I can go
I am clearing the blocks, I am clearing the resistance
I am clearing all my doubts
And other people’s doubts too

Maybe someone told me I couldn’t do it
How do THEY know?
Who made them an authority on what I can do
Maybe they are just expressing their doubts about what they can do
And they fear of having me do it
‘Cos that might make them look bad
They have more capabilities too
And I am not gonna hold myself back
So that they can be comfortable in their insecurities
And I don’t need to make myself comfortable in my insecurities
Because the fact is that I am more amazing than I know
And I choose to find out how amazing I am
….

I don’t know that I can’t do it
So I am clearing this doubt
Clearing it all the way back through my past
I may not have done it yet
But I CAN do it
I CAN do it!
And I choose to know this.

Now go out and do what I can do! 🙂
