How do you handle a compliment and what it has to do with achieving your goals

Let me ask you this one simple question: how do you react when someone gives you a compliment?

Do you say: “Oh, this is just what I do!…” Or do you think that what you’ve done is not good enough?.. Or do you squirm because you feel uncomfortable that someone has given you a compliment? Or worse, do you question who is this person to make this statement and doubt whether they are qualified to make this judgment?

Notice your answers and ask yourself what is stopping you from accepting the compliments graciously. Think about how other person might feel: they’ve tried to say something nice to you but got a negative or rude response…
