How to get work done despite of…

Many of us woke up this Friday to a shocking news about the outcome of the EU referendum. Some of us were so affected and so worried that we could not even focus on our work for the whole day.

The truth is that we all get unpleasant news from time to time that can distract us from work and scatter our attention for days, weeks or sometimes months. These could be the news of rejection of a proposal or a grant, rejection of your paper or job application, heavy criticism (or humiliation!) by your supervisor or a colleague, news about a relative getting very sick, or news about needing to move a house or find a new job.

In this video I share with you TWO strategies to help you focus on what needs to be done, which would be especially helpful if you are facing an imminent deadline. Watch this video to learn how to focus back on your work even if you had bad news recently.

In the comments below please share how the bad news affect you and your productivity, and in particular how did you cope with the news about the outcome of the EU referendum?… Also share how the two strategies that I’ve talked about in the video are helping you to get focused and get the work done.
