How to re-focus on your work after a break?

How to re-focus on your work after a break?

Are you about to take a week or two off to go on a vacation or some other travels? Do you worry how you are going to get back on track with your work as it is usually difficult for you to re-focus on your work after you come back from a vacation? You might be even thinking that you shouldn’t take the full break and sneak away in the morning from your vacation to do an hour of work or so. Well, I would suggest that you do take full break for a week or two, as this kind of disconnecting from work allows new ideas and inspiration to flow to you, as we discussed in one of the previous videos.

But then when you come back from your break you feel so disconnected from your work, so scattered, that it takes you a day or two just to remember where things are and to identify what you need to do next. This delay can be very frustrating especially if your next deadline or travel is approaching fast.

In today’s video I share with you ONE simple thing you can do before you go away on vacation that will help you to re-focus on your work after you come back. You will be able to make certain progress on your project within the first couple of days after your vacation and this in turn will help you to get back in your working routine. Watch the video above, do this one thing, and enjoy your holiday!

In the comments below please share with me your a-ha!-moment from this video!

Hi Olga, I just watched your video and your tip is exactly what I had done! So, yay for me for doing that anyway and yay for you for advising it!
Yesterday I pulled out my to-do list and immediately could see where I was up to and what I had to do next. I also put a couple of reminders into my calendar for some tasks that were time sensitive and the first went off last night (as planned) which stimulated me to easily slip back into the flow.
    It’s a good tip
    🙂
