Overwhelmed? Here is how to make a start (VIDEO)

Do you feel overwhelmed from the sheer amount of stuff you need to do? Are you lost trying to decide where to make a start? For example, you know you need to write more papers, and it is not just one but there are FIVE of them that need to be written up! If you need to prepare lecture notes for the new course you are teaching, the sheer amount of work involved scares you. Or, as in the situation we’ve been working through with one of my private clients in the past week, you might have done many interviews for your studies and now need to transcribe them. In this example with my private clients, she had a lot of them on her plate, let’s say 53 for the sake of the example, and the sheer amount of those interviews that she needed to transcribe overwhelmed her and she did not know where to even start.

And this stuff doesn’t come into your life by itself; there are many more other things that need to be taken care of. Maybe something is going on in your life that requires your attention, or you have another project going on at work, or maybe you need to prepare for the upcoming conference. You tend to be doing all those other things and this one pile (of papers, interviews, or lectures notes) remains untouched. You find yourself procrastinating with it for weeks or even months and wondering how to even make a start.

In the above video, I share with you ONE step you can take to make a definitive start! Watch the video above to learn about this step and to be inspired into action as I share with you couple more things that will make it easier for you.

In the comments below please share your a-ha!-moment from this video!
